Archiving the Army’s art

Kelly Russo, art collection intern, works to re-mat art on paper for proper archiving in the conservation lab at the U.S. Army Center of Military History’s Museum Support Center at Fort Belvoir, Va., Feb. 5, 2014. The art is stored flat to prevent gravity from ruining the paper, and on acid-free mats in “everything proof” archival boxes. (DOD photo by Jacqueline M. Hames)
