Mine Sweep

Former Spc. 4 Dennis Baccheschi, assigned to the 18th Engineer Brigade during Vietnam, painted "Mine Sweep" from photos he took while riding along behind the sweepers in a Jeep. Baccheschi inherited his artistic gifts from his uncle, Angelo Gepponi, who served as a U.S. Army cook in the Pacific during World War II. In his down time, Gepponi would document the daily life in camp using a variety of artistic mediums. (Courtesy of Dennis Baccheschi)
